Ngunguos

Ngunguos (pronounced Ngung-uos) is a verb meaning "to grate" or "to shred" something into pieces, especially vegetables, using a grater. This word was commonly used in the past but has gradually been replaced by marut, a borrowed term from the Malay word parut, which also means "to grate" or "to shred" using a grater.
