Tikasuom (pronounced as Ti-ka-suom)
Tobah (pronounced as To-bah)
Kau' (pronounced as Kau') - the apostrophe sound almost 'k'
These are nouns words having almost similar meaning to one another for fermented meat, fish, and vegetable especially.
Tikasuom and Kau' are use for fermented meat or fish
Fermented fish are called "Tikasuom Ikien" or "Kau' Ikien"
Wild boar fermented meat are called "Tikasuom Doot" or "Kau' Doot"
Tikasuom and Tobah also can be used for fermented vegetable
Fermented Chinese watercress is called "Tikasuom Makong" or "Tobah Makong"
You can the similarity although there are slight differences. The Bijagoi dialect does not follow certain rule as long as it deliver the intention then it's fine. In fact sometimes despite the word Tikasuom and Kau' are mainly used for meat they also use Tobah as alternative but they are all understandable words which generally means "fermented"
