Bunyuoh

Bunyuoh pronounced as Bun-nyuoh is a noun for Lime powder. In Bijagoi tradition they use freshwater snails shell which is burnt into calcium carbonate powder (lime powder).

The uses of Bunyuoh is primarily to be chewed with the Bo'id and Baai to make spicy sensation and red liquid in the mouth.







Bunyuoh in Bijagoi is also belief to have healing properties from spiritual illness - and for that reason it is used by the shaman to make a symbol or mark to the of someone who is sick
