Giligua

Giligua or Bua' Giligua (pronounce as Gi-li-gua) - is a nouns for calabash gourd, bottle gourd, white-flowered gourd, opo squash or long melon. It's a type of vine vegetable fruit. The matured fruit are dried and inner flesh are removed to make a bottle to keep water.

The interesting origin of the idea making the Calabash fruit into a bottle is dated way back during the ancient Silk road - which means this items or fruit has been brought into the island of Borneo by the Chinese traders in the ancient past.

During my childhood days I have the chance to use this rare item to take water from the river down the mountain valley.
